50KM Gravel & MTB MARATHON
Brgy. Carlosa, Calatagan, Batangas

Filthy, Dirty, Muddy and Fun-exciting race. Participants must complete the challenging 50km course under 7 hours featuring a variety of terrain and surfaces to test cyclists of all skill levels. The route passes through back roads, single track trails (with technical features) and pave roads. There are a number of fun climbs, ‘boring’ flats and breath-taking downhill.



Race Categories (Discipline)

1. Mountain Bike - must have suspension fork and tire size 2.0 and above.
2. Gravel Bike - must have drop bar (flat bar will be considered but not qualified in podium spot). Recommended tire size 38c and above.
3. E-MTB/ E-Gravel – are allowed but there will be no sub-category and podium finish.

RACE RULES AND GUIDELINES
all participants joining this event must understand that innate challenges exist and therefore must be prepared. For the safety and welfare of all, those involved in this event, the participants must meet the following requirements:

Registration
1.   Must be physically fit.
2.   17 years old and below must download, print and signed the consent and waiver form by the Parents or Guardian (must be presented upon kit claiming).

3.   Registration is transferable but non-refundable (during registration period only).

4. 
  We use your registration funds to pay for the necessary items and services needed to host the event. With that in mind, refunds will not be provided for this event unless the event is cancelled for reasons within our control. The following are examples (but not limited to) of reasons an event might be canceled that are NOT within our control: Dangerous weather; natural disasters; pandemics; acts of terrorism; local emergencies; government mandates; and any situation creating a threat to safety of participants, volunteers, staff or bystanders.

Race kit claiming [at Brgy. Carlosa Covered Court]
1. Every participant is required to sign a liability and waiver form prior to the race.
2. Any valid ID must be presented upon claiming.
3. Kit Claiming starts at 3pm-5:00pm, Nov. 5 and 04:00-05:00am Nov. 6 for FILTHY 50 participants.

Check-in and Mandatory gears
1. Participants must check-in 1 hour prior to gun start.
2. Helmet
3. Hydration bottle or bladder
4. MTB must have suspension fork and minimum tire size of 2.0
5. Gravel bike with drop bar (only qualified for podium spot)
6. Trail food – protein bars, chocolate, energy gel and the likes.
7. Phone with load (be able to call for emergency situation)

Note: Participants must be self-sufficient at all times. There is no bike mechanic at any station, but support crew are allowed at AID and WATER STATION only.

DURING THE EVENT
1.  Participants are not allowed to change bib number or substitutes in their behalf.
2.  Participants are advised to bring mandatory gear and recommended items.
3.  BIB number must be visible at any time.
4.  Given the distances between aid/water stations, every participant is required to have hydration bottle and trail food to sustain them between stations.
5. Race numbers must be presented to the assigned marshal at different checkpoints. Numbers, name and time will be recorded.
6. Beyond cut off time is no exemption.
7. Declaring DNF (Did not finish) or withdrawal from the race must contact the race director or go to the nearest marshal to inform him of his intention. Race bib number will be confiscated by race marshals.          
8. Those who declare themselves as DNF at any point of the course will be for the participant’s expense. Vehicle may be hired at negotiated rates.
9.  Race start on time. Latecomers are not allowed to proceed.

Disqualification
1.      Lost BIB number
2.      No facemask
3.      Mandatory gear
4.      Cheating, short-cut and course-marking sabotage.
5.      Unregistered bikers and pacers are not allowed.
6.      Any complaint must be made within 24 hours after the race and must be made in writing, signed and submitted to the race director.
7.      Support crew along the route.
8.     ANY VERBAL ABUSE OF MARSHALS, VOLUNTEERS OR RACE OFFICIALS WILL BE GROUNDS FOR IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION.

RACE ROUTE
all categories start and finish at Brgy. Carlosa Covered Court.

The route is an open trail and public road. Observe extra caution when going downhill, crossing road and passing technical trail. Always keep right on public roads. Participants are encouraged to practice trail courtesy. Yield to fast riders.

The route is visible and marked properly by trails signs, arrow signs, and cautions. Marshals are stationed at all critical sections of the course. No time credits will be given to any participants who gets lost.

Aid and water stations are assigned at certain point of the course. Checkpoints are place along the course.

The organizer/ race director reserves the right to modify the rules and the race route at any time or during the race for the safety and welfare of the participants.

The event pushes through, rain or shine unless the race organizers announce its cancellation or postponement at least 48 hours prior to race event for the reasons beyond their control, such as extreme weather and any condition that may render the course unsafe.
